Frequently Asked Questions
How can I verify that my engineer is Gas Safe registered?
You can check the official Gas Safe Register website using our registration number, 932713. Additionally, every iWarm engineer carries a physical Gas Safe ID card. You should always ask to see this card before any work begins; it will list the specific types of gas work the engineer is qualified to perform.
What should I do if I smell gas in my home?
If you suspect a gas leak, immediately turn off the gas at the meter, open all windows and doors, and evacuate the property. Do not flip any electrical switches or light matches. Once safe, call the National Gas Emergency Service and then contact a Gas Safe registered engineer from iWarm to locate and repair the leak.
Can a gas engineer help if my radiators are not getting hot?
Yes. While the boiler is the heart of the system, the pipes and radiators are the veins. Our engineers can diagnose if the issue is a faulty pump, a blocked valve, or a build-up of sludge. We often recommend a Magnacleanse to clear the system and restore heat.
How often do I need a Gas Safety Certificate?
For homeowners, an annual service is recommended for safety and warranty purposes. However, for landlords, a Gas Safety Certificate is a legal requirement that must be renewed every 12 months. iWarm provides these checks across our entire service area, including Lincoln and Louth.
How much do gas engineers cost in Lincolnshire?
Nationally gas engineers generally charge a call-out charge before stepping through a customers door, which can end up costing customers £150+ for less than 50 minutes. We believe it's fairest to charge a slightly higher price of £80 for the first hour, dropping to a fixed price of £60 per hour thereafter. This allows us to account for the time spent travelling between properties whilst still charging fair prices for most simple gas engineering repairs or services.

I had a boiler issue, stopped working. He arrived on the same day and ensured that the boiler works while we wait for parts. Kept me updated while parts were coming and asked if the boiler is still working. Always kept the area clean and explained what was the issue. Great job! Definitely recommend.Posted on Google

Fantastic service from Guy, who travelled out to Market Rasen on a Sunday when our boiler stopped working. He was super professional, quick to sort the issue, and great value for money. With kids in the house, getting the heating and hot water back on meant everything, definitely one of those luxuries you take for granted until they’re gone. Really appreciate the effort and would highly recommend.Posted on Google

Guy came to us today which was a wet and cold Sunday afternoon as my Elderly Mother was without heating. After initial contact a time was agreed and Guy arrived on the dot.... He was very good and explained everything he was doing ensuring we understood what was happening. Guy was very clean and there was not a single bit of mess left behind. He made sure we were happy with the work and didnt leave until he was 100% sure the problem was fixed. There was no hard sell with Guy at all he explained a few options for us in the future. Would HIGHLY reccommend Guy and have saved his details for future use. 5☆☆☆☆☆Posted on Google
